Things I learned today

1. Construction paper does not exist in New Zealand, much to my dismay.

2. One should never attempt to give a 2 yr. old sloppy joes for dinner while the child in question is wearing white pants.

3. I really shouldn't worry as much as I do. My work permit/visa came in the mail today, valid until Jan '08.

Surely we have construction paper! Maybe they were just out?

You do?! Is it called construction paper here? No one in the store seemed to know what I was talking about.

They do have it here, I got it at the warehouse just recently. That was here in Lower Hutt, but they should have it anywhere. It wasn't called construction paper though, Steve didn't now what I meant when I said construction paper. :) It came in one of those giant pads where the sheets easily tear out. They didn't have a huge selection, but it was there. If I can find the pad around here somewhere I'll let ya know what it's called. Good luck!

So, I found the pad. It doesn't say what it's called here...it does have construction paper on it (next to a picture of an American flag amongst a list of other flags and foreign languages)...not not a 'kiwi' term for it. Anyway, you can get it, at the Warehouse in the arts and crafts/paper section.
